Night sledding

Location: Velika Planina ski resort (Kamniško- Savinjske Alps)
Distance from Ljubljana: 40 km .
Altitude: bottom:1450 m, top: 1660 m.
Season:middle of December- end of March.
When? Every Friday & Saturday 5pm-8pm.
Short description: During the night sledding hours, chairlift that takes you to top of the mountain, is operating. So you don't have to hike, and you can do several descents on sledges. Descent on sledges takes place on a lightened sledge track, next to the ski- slopes.There is warm chalet restaurant, serving traditional spoon dishes and homemade blueberry snaps open at the beginning of the sled slope. Difficulty level: moderate (depending on snow composition).
Equipment rental: Sled and children helmets available to rent at ski school & rental hut Label (50 m away from top cablelift station, next to the chair-lift).
Recommended equipment: Ski clothes, winter shoes, gloves, goggles.
